Eagle West Cranes, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary Stampede Crane and Rigging Inc. are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the crane services contract for the Beat Mountain Wind Farm.
In total the 100 megawatt Bear Mountain wind farm owned by Altagas will be located near Dawson Creek British Columbia, Canada will consist of 34 wind turbines. Each wind turbine has a standard hub height of 80 meters (262') and has a total standing weight of 383,900 kgs (844,580 lbs.).
The project will start in June 2009 with an expected completion date of September 30, 2009.
Operationally Eagle West will employ rough terrain, all terrain and crawler cranes as well as a wide selection of rigging and support equipment. Eagle West will also supply all equipment operators, riggers and project managers.
